Secular radio with Latin

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

While driving to a Saturday morning Mass, I was blessed with an unexpected and equally beautiful glimpse into a Papal Mass in France. It was during the Pope’s visit earlier this month and CBS radio played a brief portion of the sung Mass to my souls relief. I believe it was part of the Kyrie.

Even though I arrived at Mass 10 minutes early, it had already begun because of an altered schedule. Being able to pray the Mass both days of a weekend is truly a refuge for the working man. I pray that someday a daily Latin Mass will become more available.

As I was driving home, they played (what my memory tells me) is the better part of the Credo in the background of the spoken news story. How many times can one man feel so blessed in one day?
